Welcome to daevanar, the icon and graphic journal for nardaviel. Here I post all my icons, friends-only banners, etc.

The word "daevanár" comes from the Elvish words "dae" and "nár," as does "nárdaviel." "Nár" translates to "fire," while "dae" means "shadow."

Nárdaviel is simply a name constructed of the two words, and is a username I've been using for several years. I wanted to incorporate the words dae and nár into the name for this journal as well. "Dae eva nár" means "shadow of fire," a phrase I thought worked well with the idea of an icon. An icon is a representative, a smaller part, a shadow, of a larger thing or idea, the fire. I combined the words into the username daevanar.

My work is BEST VIEWED at the resolution 1152x864, as this is the resolution my computer is set at. I realize that most people have a smaller reolution than this, and I'll try to take this into account. If something is ridiculously large on your screen, let me know and I'll do what I can.
